Jack joined me at my gallery opening at Rotofugi last Friday night which was a huge success! Thanks to all of you who came out and braved the cold.

Dr. Down Syndrome

As I was watching one of my favorite shows, "Scrubs" I noticed Dr. Perry Cox wearing a yellow and blue rubber bracelet which are the typical colors used for Down Syndrome awareness. I wondered if he might have some ties to the DS community and found out that he has a son with DS. I also came across this great interview he did for iVillage talking about the adventures of raising a son with Down Syndrome. Here is one of my favorite answers that he gave:

What's the best parenting advice you've ever received?

Somebody at one point suggested that God gives you what you can handle. And I bought into it. I felt empowered. "Yeah, I can handle this." And I did.
